Kitchenalia

I have been painting a lot recently, the one I've almost finished is a vintage floral enamel coffee pot (above). I am branching out trying to paint new objects I've never painted before this year.
I have also painted a Moka pot and folk art kettle which seem to be along the same theme.

Mongolian yurts

It is a new year and a fresh start, I hope everyone has had a wonderful time over the winter holidays. I have been busy painting away working on a new line and my two mongolian yurt paintings are now ready in the shop as A6 blank notecards.
They can be bought individually or in a twin pack. Please take a look at bedfordgypsy.etsy.com and let me know what you think.
Nomadic living has always fascinated me, from nomadic tribes to gypsies and new age travellers. If these cards sell well I will carry on this line and paint more, so please take a look, share and get the word out. Thank you.
(Also on a separate note my daughter bought me a new laptop for xmas, bless her so i now can blog away happily and upload photos too, so heres to many more blog posts)

Bottle build update

The bottle build has now finished, we now have the roof timbers on and are just waiting to add the roof.
The inside wall has the tiles on with our photos on, it's a wall of memories.
Next to the build I have build a little bbq area with a wavy wall. It's been fun building these with recycled items, even the bbq is recycled as it's an old pipe, the bench was thrown away as the legs were broken, even the red log store was an old filing cabinet set for the tip. All now rescued and given a new lease of life.

Puppet

Here is my puppet I made taking her first walk in the wood. The trees are now three years old and just starting to shoot up.

New posts- new photos

It's been a while since I posted last, my apologies but I can now log in and add photos again. Little trouble with the Google update, which all changed and it's taken me this long to work out how to upload photos.
Anyway here's a few of my latest patchwork items which have been added to my shop. This one is called Lavender Poppies.
It's nice to be back in blog land
This one is called Autumn Haze

Vintage crockery finds

This weekend we are having an early Mother's Day meal, my eldest is coming up from London and obviously my mum is coming over. This year I wanted to do something alittle different so I've been searching through the charity shops and I found a beautiful pink Pyrex vintage casserole dish (£1.75) and that started the theme. I had a few cups and saucers but I managed to find odd plates etc and now the table looks quite pretty. The flowers also haven't gone up in price in the shops which they will for the actual Mother's Day so I was able to buy quite a few. It's not all pink there's soft greens and blues and red too. But nothing matches which I l love. The cake stand is borrowed from a friend, not sure if it can be seen in the photos as they were a bit cropped.
The most I spent was a fine bone china cup and saucer for £5 but everything else was well under that. It just goes to show you don't have the break the bank. I hope all you mothers out there have a lovely day whenever you are celebrating.
